Samsung’s A-series has always been considered a reliable mid-range lineup. Phones in this series are considered ideal for those looking for a good design, decent performance, and long battery life. The Galaxy A56 performed well this year, and now the Galaxy A57 is preparing to replace it.
If you’re wondering what the differences will be between the two and what the new prices will be, read the entire article carefully.
Design and Build Quality
First of all, the Galaxy A57 isn’t expected to have many design changes. The phone’s design will remain largely the same as the A56, with straight frame lines, three rear cameras, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
The phone’s weight and grip feel are similar to the A56, but the A57 is said to be slightly thinner. The A56 measured approximately 7.4 mm thick, while the A57 is rumored to be 7.1 mm.
Both phones have an IP67 rating, meaning they’re water- and dust-resistant.
Display
One of the Galaxy A56’s best features was its large screen, and Samsung has retained this in the new model.
The Galaxy A57 also features:
- 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display
- Full HD+ resolution
- 120 Hz refresh rate
This screen feels smooth and precise in everyday use. This size is considered very comfortable for videos, gaming, and social media.
Processor and platform
Now for the real deal performance.
The Galaxy A56 featured an Exynos 1580 chip, which was fine for general use. However, Samsung has introduced a new Exynos 1680 (4nm) chip in the Galaxy A57. This new processor is said to be more power-efficient, meaning battery consumption will be lower and apps will run faster.
Storage variants are expected to be as follows:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
It will also have a microSD card slot for expandable storage.
The phone will run Android 16 and One UI, and, most importantly, Samsung is offering 6 years of software support.
Primary Camera
Samsung has always focused heavily on the camera in the A-series. The Galaxy A57 is expected to feature three rear cameras:
- 50MP primary camera (with OIS)
- 12MP ultrawide
- 5MP macro
The setup of these three cameras is expected to be more balanced than the A56, especially with OIS (optical image stabilization), which will ensure more stable photos and videos.
Selfie Camera
The A56 had a 32MP front camera, but Samsung could include either a 32MP or 50MP camera in the Galaxy A57.
If a 50MP selfie camera is included, the selfie experience and video call quality could be significantly stronger.
Battery and Charging
Both phones are equipped with 5000 mAh batteries, which should easily last a whole day.
The Galaxy A57 is expected to support 45W fast charging. This battery remains a reliable option for long-term use, especially for users who are frequently outdoors.
Network and Connectivity
Both phones support 5 G. Additionally:
- Wi-Fi 6
- Bluetooth 5.2
- NFC
- GPS
- Type-C port
These are also carried over.
Speaker and audio quality are expected to remain the same as on the A56, with clear sound and good volume.
Other Features
The Galaxy A57 offers the same essential features everyone is used to:
- In-display fingerprint sensor
- Face unlock
- Password/PIN protection
- Knox security
- Various color options
The overall phone experience will feel slightly upgraded from the A56.

Both the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A57 are reliable phones. But the A57’s newer processor, more extended software support, better camera, and slightly slimmer design could make it a popular mid-range phone next year.
